Hello and welcome to my portfolio website - I’m Tom McKay, an FAA Part 107 Certified sUAS pilot, and a geospatial professional with 15+ years of experience in GIS, field operations, and reality capture workflows.
My current focus is UAV mapping, photogrammetry, and terrestrial and mobile scanning workflows that transform aerial and field data into usable geospatial deliverables. I work across multiple capture methods including drone photogrammetry, LiDAR, and SLAM-based scanning to support mapping, inspection, and spatial analysis use cases in AEC, utilities, survey, and public sector environments.
This portfolio showcases examples of my reality capture work across different methods and stages of development, including UAV mapping outputs, 3D surface models, and scanning-based datasets. Some sections include early-stage or in-progress work as I continue building a broader library of field-to-finish examples.
Each project reflects a practical workflow approach focused on producing accurate, decision-ready geospatial data from real-world capture conditions.
